Are You at Risk for Diabetes?

Modest changes, better choices.

Your doctor tells you to eat better and move more, but how exactly do you start putting the advice into practice? Research shows that when you engage in a yearlong lifestyle change program that includes diet, exercise and support, you'll cut your risk of diabetes by over half, and by 70 percent if you're over 60; you'll also help prevent heart attacks and strokes.

To assist you, Jane Phillips presents the Diabetes Prevention Program, a yearlong class, led by certifed lifestyle coaches.

The weekly classes are held on Wednesdays, Jan. 16-May 1, 2019, from 4-5 p.m. Then monthly through December 2019. The classes are held at Jane Phillips Medical Center in the first floor classroom.

Registration deadline is January 9. Cost is $5 per month.
