St. John Clinic, Jane Phillips Medical Center Invite Independence Residents to Ceremonial Blessing Ceremonies

Independence, KS (July 22, 2016) - St. John Clinic and Jane Phillips Medical Center invite residents of Independence and surrounding communities to a blessing of facilities on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. St. John Clinic and Jane Phillips Medical Center are affiliates of St. John Health System, a part of Ascension, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit health system.

The blessing of the Jane Phillips Medical Center’s Health For Life Fitness Center, 2011 North Penn Avenue, will take place at 4 p.m., followed by a blessing ceremony at 5 p.m. at  the St. John Clinic, located at 800 West Laurel. The ceremony will include a blessing for St. John Clinic, Jane Phillips MedCare Pharmacy and Jane Phillips Independence Imaging Center. Rev. Jose K. Thottathil, CMI, will perform the ceremonies at each of the facilities.

St. John Clinic opened its family medicine, lab services, pediatric services, and women’s health services for the Independence community in January 2015. Other services provided include rotating cardiology and general surgery specialties. Jane Phillips MedCare Pharmacy, located inside St. John Clinic, offers full retail prescription services, patient prescription delivery, drive through service, over-the-counter medications and supplies, and medication therapy management.

Jane Phillips Independence Imaging Center, which opened July 18, offers mammography, CT, MRI, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (Dexa), ultrasound, cardiac ultrasound, and X-ray services. The Jane Phillips Independence Imaging Center is conveniently located across the street from St. John Clinic.

Jane Phillips Health for Life Fitness Center offers 24-hour health facility services to club members. Services include personal training, cardio training machines, strength-training machines, free weights, certified lifestyle and weight management consulting, group fitness classes, racquetball, basketball, and salon services from the Prizms Salon.
