Jane Phillips Medical Center Imaging Center to Open July 18 in Independence

Bartlesville, Okla. (July 14, 2016) Jane Phillips Medical Center is pleased to announce it will open a full-service imaging center in Independence, Kansas on July 18.

Located at 219 N 14th  Suite A, the Jane Phillips Medical Center Imaging Center is conveniently located across from St. John Clinic. St. John Clinic and Jane Phillips Medical Center are affiliates of St. John Health System, a part of Ascension, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit health system.

The 10,000-square-foot facility will provide Independence and surrounding communities with mammography, CT, MRI, dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (Dexa), ultrasound, cardiac ultrasound, and X-ray services. The new imaging center will offer added convenience to residents of Independence; no imaging centers are available in the community, and residents previously had to go to another city to receive services.

“It is our privilege to offer these needed services in an easily accessible location that will allow us to make a positive difference in the health and well-being of many living in the community,” said Mike Moore, Jane Phillips Medical Center chief operating officer.

Most imaging services require a physician order; however, mammograms may be scheduled without a physician order. For more information, call 620-332-3226.

Jane Phillips Medical Center has served the communities of southeast Kansas for more than 28 years through family medicine clinics and management of the Sedan City Hospital.

“We are proud to be a provider of choice for southeast Kansas and look forward to serving these communities for many years to come,” said Moore.
