St. John, TCI Launch Joint Venture
Tulsa, Okla. (March 1, 2016) — St. John Health System, a member of Ascension Health, and Tulsa Cancer Institute have teamed up as Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI) to provide a new level of confidence and hope for cancer patients and families in our community. OCSRI delivers the clinical excellence, stewardship of medical resources, scientific discovery and compassionate care that St. John and TCI brought together.
"With combined expertise, resources and technology, our collaboration gives cancer patients access to the region's most comprehensive care and best clinical research," said Daron Street, M.D., Chairman of the OCSRI Board of Directors. "We strive to provide the most cost-effective, highest quality care in Oklahoma."
OCSRI provides comprehensive, personalized care to patients in Oklahoma and the region, with outpatient oncology services at former TCI facilities in Tulsa, Bartlesville, McAlester and Stillwater. Outpatient oncology services previously provided at St. John Medical Center have transitioned to OCSRI's main campus, 12697 E. 51st St. South in Tulsa, a facility opened in 2013 and LEED-certified for eco-friendly design. Patients may continue to receive radiation therapy, surgery and other services at St. John.
St. John has expanded its existing quality and best practices relationship with MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center, by completing the quality certification process with OCSRI. Together, as Oklahoma’s first and only certified member of the network, the team offers unparalleled cancer care to Oklahoma residents here at home.
