Brasel Tapped for JPMC CFO

James Brasel returned to JPMC on December 1 as the new chief financial officer. From 2001-2007, Brasel served as the regional controller for JPMC. He succeeds longtime CFO Mike Moore who began serving as president/chief operating officer in October.

“I feel blessed about the opportunity at Jane Phillips Medical Center,” Brasel said. “I look forward to working with the employees and Mike Moore to help continue to provide quality healthcare to the community.”

Following his six years at JPMC, Brasel worked as the chief financial officer for five years at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Since May 2013, Brasel has been the director of finance and controller at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Brasel earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

Originally from Barnsdall, Brasel and his wife, Liza, have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of 17-year-old son, Caleb.
