Tulsa, Okla. – St. John Health System’s largest fundraising party is back! Preparations are underway at St. John Medical Center for St. John Street Party, one of Tulsa's largest outdoor fundraising events. The 20th annual Street Party event will be held June 8, 2013 on the campus of St. John Medical Center. The event honors St. John Medical Center’s 87 years of healthcare service while benefiting the In His Image Family Medicine Residency training program.

Each year, Street Party selects a beneficiary for the party’s proceeds. Past parties have benefited St. John Nursing, the Neuroscience Institute and Stroke Center, the Center for Women’s Health and others, all building a stronger community through improved medical care.

“The In His Image Family Medicine Residency training program is critical to the Tulsa area and the state, which, like the rest of the nation, faces a severe shortage of primary care doctors," said Richard Boone, president of the St. John Health System Foundation. “We’re working to increase the number of practitioners in the state with this residency program and believe it is a very worthwhile entity to benefit from Street Party.”

Street Party 2013 will feature foods from approximately 60 of Tulsa's best restaurants and caterers, as well as a collection of wine-tasting opportunities. St. John will also bring back the ever-popular Mid Life Crisis Band to entertain patrons throughout the evening.

Event chairs are Jenny and Jono Helmerich. Street Party is hosted by the St. John Health System Foundation.
