St. John Medical Center named National Research Corporation's 2012 Consumer Choice Winner

Tulsa, Okla. -- St. John Medical Center has been named as a 2012 Consumer Choice Award Winner by the National Research Corporation. National Research recognized St. John with a first place rank for best overall quality in physicians and nurses, as well as best reputation and image.

The National Research’s Consumer Choice Award identifies hospitals chosen by healthcare consumers as having the highest quality and image in more than 300 markets throughout the U.S. Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s Market Insights/Ticker survey.

The National Research study surveys more than 250,000 households representing more than 450,000 consumers in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. From the households surveyed, 2,300 hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSAs) as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest.

The 2012 awards mark the 17th year National Research has awarded hospitals whose consumers have recognized them for providing the highest quality healthcare.
