St. John to Host Free Film Screening
Join St. John for a free screening of In the Family, a documentary which chronicles the stories of families undergoing genetic testing, the decisions they make as a result, and the impact those decisions have on their lives.
St. John Health System, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE) are proud to offer a free screening of In the Family, a documentary by Joanna Rudnik, a BRCA* positive filmmaker.
In the Family chronicles the stories of families undergoing genetic testing, the decisions they make as a result, and the impact those decisions have on their lives. This film screening is a collaboration with P.O.V., PBS’ award-winning non-fiction film series.

Time: 6 p.m.
Location: St. John Medical Center - 6th floor classroom, Siegfried Tower (1923 S. Utica Ave.)
St. John breast surgeon Dr. Laurie Flynn and Dr. Michael Kayser, genetic specialist, will attend and host a question/answer session after the film.
Additionally, members of the local FORCE group will hold a panel discussion on the subject. FORCE is a national organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
