CREST-2 Clinical Trial

CREST-2 is a national, multicenter stroke prevention study that is actively enrolling participants who have narrowing in their carotid artery without stroke or stroke warning signs. 

The study is comparing intensive medical management alone to intensive medical management used in combination with a procedure to remove plaque buildup from the carotid artery in the neck. To qualify you must:

  • Be at least 35 years old
  • Have narrowing of at least one carotid artery
  • Not have other serious medical conditions
