Pastoral Care

Healing the sick often requires more than medical care. At Jane Phillips Medical Center, we believe that tending to patients' minds and spirits is an essential part of recovery.

Serving as integral members of the healthcare team, the Pastoral Care staff provides the spiritual care that contributes to a holistically balanced approach to patient care. They meet the spiritual needs of all persons cared for within the medical center.

Each staff member uses spiritual assessment tools designed to meet the specific needs of his or her areas of ministry. The level of pastoral care involvement is based on the assessed level of spiritual care needs of each person.

The pastoral care team is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and makes daily visits to our patients.

Holy Cross Chapel
The chapel, located on the first floor of the Medical Center, is available for your use 24-hours a day. Our pastoral care staff visits patients on a regular basis. If you wish to speak with a chaplain, a member of the nursing staff will contact them for you. Catholic Mass is celebrated the second Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m.
