Community Health Fair
ST. JOHN Owasso IS AT HOME HERE IN Owasso, AND WE’RE COMMITTED TO PROMOTING HEALTHY LIFESTYLES IN OUR COMMUNITY ANNUALLY THROUGH OUR HEALTH FAIR.
The date for our 2017 event is TBD. We partnered with Owasso Public Schools and Smith Farm Marketplace to present the 2016 event on Saturday, October 1.
“Events like this health fair, facilitated through vital partnerships like the one we have with Owasso Public Schools, enable us to reach beyond the walls of our hospital and provide valuable information to the community,” said David Phillips, president and chief operating officer at St. John Owasso.
Health fair attendees receive free health services and screenings, including blood pressure checks and oxygen saturation readings, along with information on relevant health issues such as heart attack, stroke, smoking cessation and diabetes. Children are invited to view the inside of a Life Flight helicopter or bring their favorite stuffed toy for a check-up at the teddy bear clinic.
“Owasso Athletics and Owasso Public Schools is proud to partner with St. John Owasso,” said Zach Duffield, athletic director for Owasso Public Schools. “This partnership goes beyond the field of play and reaches out into the community. Those who attend the health fair will see the first class care that our student athletes see every day from St. John Owasso and Tulsa Bone & Joint.”
