St. John Health System is pleased to present, “Red Rally: Celebrating Go Red for Women,” a free educational symposium on heart and stroke health for women. The event will be held Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Mary K. Chapman Health Plaza, 1819 E. 19th St., Tulsa.
The event will feature Heart Center of Tulsa cardiologist Dr. Greta Warta, who will discuss women and heart disease beginning at 12:30 p.m. Additionally, St. John Stroke Center co-medical director and stroke neurologist Dr. Anna Wanahita will present information on the signs and symptoms of stroke beginning at 12 p.m.
Free cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure screenings will be available by appointment beginning 9 a.m. Attendees will also be able to visit informational booths to learn more about St. John health programs and initiatives from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A heart-healthy lunch will be served in the Health Plaza Cafe beginning at 11 a.m. for a small fee.
