Our Advanced Surgical Technologies
- St. John Medical Center is proud to offer the most advanced da Vinci® Surgical System in northeast Oklahoma. This minimally invasive technology is a robotic tool that allows surgeons to perform complex procedures through small incisions. Da Vinci® surgeries are performed with the precision, dexterity and control of traditional open surgery, but with much smaller incisions.
- An option for some inoperable or surgically complex tumors, CyberKnife® is a radiation tool that offers many unique benefits for cancer patients and those with other conditions, such as benign tumors, vascular malformations and trigeminal neuralgia (cranial nerve pain). With CyberKnife®, there are no incisions, and the radiation treatment is painless and convenient. The technology uses the skeletal structure of the body as a reference, frequently eliminating the use of needles to place the markers typically used with traditional radiotherapy systems or invasive frames.
