Throughout its history, St. John Medical Center has relied on the generosity of its supporters to meet the needs of those we serve. Hundreds of Tulsans donated funds in 1925 to complete St. John’s original building, which opened the following year. Ever since, this community has supported St. John, and the medical center has done its best to return the favor by providing the best of care to our patients and their families.
The St. John Medical Center Foundation provides financial support for the operation and continued growth of St. John. Each year, the Foundation receives many grants, contributions, donations and gifts that help support the work of St. John’s sponsors, the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother.
Gifts to the Foundation enable the medical center to expand existing services and add important new programs. In recent years, Foundation funds have been used to help build and equip a new pediatric intensive care unit, build a kidney dialysis center in an underserved part of town and expand our pre-admission testing lab.
Your Gift to St. John
The St. John Medical Center Foundation offers many ways to give. Your gift may be undesignated, meaning the Foundation may use it for a project of its choosing at St. John. Or, your gift may be designated allowing you to choose a St. John department or departments where your gift will be used.
