Community Health Fair

St. John Broken Arrow is at home here in Broken Arrow, and we’re committed to promoting healthy lifestyles in our community annually through our health fair.

The date for our 2017 event is TBD.  The 2016 event was held in conjunction with the Broken Arrow Police Department's Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Broken Arrow campus of Tulsa Technology Center, 4000 W. Florence.

“Preventive medicine offers an opportunity for us to be proactive with our health and learn about possible risk factors, as well as appropriate ways to reduce those risks,” said St. John Broken Arrow chief operating officer David Phillips. “Partnering with the Broken Arrow Police Department to offer a free health fair for the students in the Broken Arrow Public School System is a great way for us to help them become more engaged in their health at an early age.”

Health fair attendees will have the opportunity to interact with St. John professionals to discuss relevant issues such as nutrition, backpack safety, smoking cessation, diabetes, cancer and more.  Some booths will offer free health services and screenings such as blood pressure and heart rate checks, oxygen saturation readings, and physician and nurse consultations. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed toy for a check-up at the teddy bear clinic.
